+ We examine how the culture and practice of yoga has been transmitted and adapted over time, including a brief overview of Sanskrit.

+ Using the lens of Ayurveda (the sister science of Yoga), we explore the body and the yogic models of the self.

+ We take a critical look into the application of the ethics and philosophy of yoga in the modern world, adhering to the belief that yoga is far more than physical movement.

+ We examine everything from Functional Movement patterns to the more subtle and esoteric models of anatomy in yogic culture.

+ We explore the art of crafting yoga classes and modifying postures so we can be better equipped to lead with adaptive and intelligent sequencing.

+ Unlike other Yoga Teacher Trainings, we spend a large part of our time learning how to apply and adapt the yoga practice for a variety of special populations.

Our Adaptive Yoga Teacher Training has the objective of preparing instructors with a solid foundation in the ethical and philosophical underpinnings of the yoga practice as well as a knowledge of the physical and subtle bodies, allowing them to lead safe and effective yoga sessions. In addition to fundamental information, our program stands apart from other Yoga Teacher Training Programs because we focus specifically on giving our instructors the tools that will allow them to work with special populations, including, but not limited to, prenatal women and seniors as well as populations dealing with:

+ Emotional imbalances such as depression and anxiety

+ PTSD from a variety of types of trauma

+ Recovery from addiction or abuse

+ Chronic Pain and neurological challenges

+ Cancer

Participants have two options for study: Intensive In-Person Training (includes a Complimentary Online Companion Course) or Virtual Training from the comfort of their own home and on their own timeline. Intensive In-Person Training begins in January of each year, and runs for a consecutive ten-month period, meeting one weekend each month. Weekend schedules may vary and are subject to change.

Seva is the Sanskrit word for Service. The Seva component of our program is composed of 8 yoga-related service hours to be completed throughout the duration of the program. These hours must be approved by the Lead Trainer and can be completed through a variety of activities, including volunteer teaching, assisting a regularly taught practice, or service work with approved organizations.

Pricing is available in either single payment or broken into auto-renewing monthly payments that will last the duration of the training (10 months). A non-refundable deposit of $315 is required to reserve your spot in either training and will be deducted from the total tuition amount.

IN-PERSON INTENSIVE TRAINING: Full payments made by one month before program start date total $2950 and payments made via the financing plan total $3150.
